Nestled between the Waianae and the Koolau Ranges is the fertile valley of Central Oahu. The neighborhoods in the center of the island are comprised of residential areas amid stretches of sugar cane and pineapple fields—part of Oahu’s old plantation past.
 
The Dole Plantation, the Hawaiian Plantation Village, and Aloha Stadium are just some of the popular attractions in Central Oahu. The most important landmark, however, is historic Pearl Harbor.

Pearl Harbor is an active Naval Base and is home to the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine, USS Missouri Battleship and the Pacific Aviation Museum. These monuments commemorate the historic events that changed history during World War II.
 
You'll also find U.S. Army post Schofield Barracks in Central Oahu. The post was established in 1908 and is home to the 25th Infantry Division, Tropic Lightning Division.
