Training: An Inside Look

Our training program is simple, yet comprehensive in nature. Instead of cramming 8 hours of continuous topics into agents over a 4-5 week period (Monday thru Friday), we chose to train in a more palatable fashion, whereby agents can digest the information and retain it, rather than suffer from information overload. Studies have shown that the human mind can only retain a certain amount of information over a period of time, and if that threshold has been crossed, there is an event called “diminishing returns” that occur. The mind cannot absorb any more. Therefore what ends up happening is that the extra information is lost. So, the time doing this training is wasted. We don’t do that.

Instead, we have thoughtfully crafted a training program that takes into consideration the schedules, together with the optimum learning rhythms of agents. Every portion of our training has been carefully planned with these two goals in mind. Even the scheduling of our classes reflects this intent. Our classes run Monday thru Friday from 10:00 am -1:00 pm for a period of about 4 weeks.

Why did we choose these days and times? It is proven that the human mind is at its optimum in the mid morning (after 9am and before lunch). Before 9am, our minds are filled with taking kids to school, beating traffic, getting the day’s preparation done - in short we are scrambling. After lunch, we hit our afternoon wall, whereby the mind and body feels sluggish and information does not get absorbed so easily. So, we scheduled our training at the most productive time of the day, between 10am-1pm.

In addition to being the most convenient time of the day and giving the agents training in digestible portions, it also affords you the time to accomplish your daily activities of life at the same time. Taking care of your family, continuing your part time work, or whatever the activities may be, we have arranged our training to make it convenient for you to continue your life, while simultaneously getting the best real estate education around.
