East Maui

Hana including the neighborhoods of Kaupo, Kipahulu and Nahiku represents East Maui and is truly a tropical paradise. Hana’s picturesque coast is famous for the winding road to Hana.

Starting in the town of Kahului, the Hana Highway is a 52-mile stretch of waterfalls, rainforests, and beautiful landscapes. Pack a picnic lunch if you plan on heading out.

Hana itself is a small town, but big on Hawaiian traditions and the aloha way of life.  The homes and properties in Hana range from just under $300,000 to $10’s of millions of dollars.  There is generally significantly more land included for the price than you will see in other areas of Maui as can be expected with this remote and isolated location.

No trip to Hana is complete without a stop at the famous Hasegawa General Store which has a variety of merchandise and a very local feel.
