The condominium I purchase recently was the seventh property I have purchased in my lifetime. And this is the first time I have been so impressed with the agent representing me that I was compelled to contact their broker.
Once I began to work more closely with Mathew in choosing the right property for me, I realized how fortunate I was to have chosen him as my agent. He is one of the most conscientious and thorough persons I have had the pleasure to work with. I am in the habit of sending off emails whenever a thought or question pops up, just assuming I will hear back in the next day or two. With Mathew, I received responses the same day, often late in the evening. When I contacted Mathew to ask if the taxes had been paid to date, due to the timing of the offer, Mathew not only assured me that they would have to be paid as a part of the closing process, he provided me with an Internet link to the county tax site so that I could see the tax status myself. Every state handles some things differently and when I need Mathew’s help in understanding how certain things were to be handled, he always provided me with a very clear explanation and clear steps to follow.

We would like to nominate Marc for the Aloha Aina Award. Moving across the Pacific Ocean to the Hawaiian Islands is a daunting task, but Marc held our hand throughout the entire process. I know now how challenging it is for a realtor to orient a “Mainlander” to the subtleties of Oahu neighborhoods. He was very professional and patient as he explained each area of the island. He carefully directed us to appropriate communities, and then was selective in the houses that he showed us, being mindful of construction quality and upkeep of the homes.
Our search wasn’t an easy one. With a tight budget, we were limited on what was available. Marc kept us motivated… Once we finally found a home, the challenges didn’t stop there. Since we chose a new construction home, we had a long wait before the house was finished. Our corporate housing allowance ended before the house was complete, so we were forced to find a short-term rental. When Marc heard of our plan, he quickly offered his van and labor to help us move from our downtown corporate rental to the townhouse [rental] at Turtle Bay. His assistance saved us an unimaginable amount of additional moving time…

This is Lucy Staples here. I have been on the computer today looking at many of the pictures you took of the Kohala house we are purchasing. I am impressed with your photography skills!!
